Exhaustion and Abundance
Here in Seattle, the weather has turned… the mania of summer has taken a quick drop off and it’s as though we’re all just a little (or a lot) sad that we have to give up summer, OR, we are so exhausted from the push to enjoy it all that if feels like we just want any excuse to throw in the towel. The rain seems like a great excuse, and honestly, use it. We need a rest. We need to rest and take a moment to sit back and look at all we have accomplished because there is a lot.
Now is the time of harvest. The truth is, this is a time that still takes work… work to reap all you have sown, the fields are full and if we don’t get out and pick it and eat it all up, what was it all for? Enjoy it. Share it. Feed yourself, your friends, your family and let yourself take a moment to enjoy the cool air, the sweeping drama of the clouds and the changes in the grey, the moments the sun peaks through and reminds you it’s there. Here’s a wild statement: Care for your sweet self!!!
This might be a time you feel restless, unsure what to do with your energy. Your skin might be extra itchy. You might feel more hungry or conversely unable to eat. You might be feeling grief creep in as we let go into fall. You might be that much more aware of your body and the ways it isn’t working the way you want. Whatever you’re noticing or struggling with in this Season of fullness and letting go, let acupuncture heal you.
